North America

Once man can no longer walk with beauty or wonder at nature, his spirit will wither and his sustenance be wasted.”

The sprawling metropolises of Los Angeles and Mexico City. The vast wilderness of the USA and Canada’s National Parks. The golden beaches of California and the Great Lakes on the United States-Canadian border. North America has it all.

My travels to this part of the world have seen me take in the wonders of the United States and Mexico; albeit on very different trips. From skiing in Vermont and visiting New York for the first time as a wide-eyed teenager, to hiking through the valleys of Yosemite National Park and partying in Las Vegas for a friends stag-do, I’ve had the pleasure of visiting some of the USA’s iconic cities and landscapes. This diverse, wonderful country has so much to offer; I’m convinced you could visit every year for the rest of your life and discover something different every time. From Yellowstone National Park to Monument Valley, there are still so many things I want to see.

Whilst my experience of Mexico may be limited to a 10-day holiday for a friends wedding, the country introduced me to Chichén Itzá, a Modern Wonder of the World, sparking a dream to travel the globe in a quest to visit all seven. I’d love to return some day.

Of course, there’s Canada. How I’d love to visit. A friend waxed lyrical about his adventures in Toronto and Vancouver, whilst the pictures I’ve seen of Alberta and British Colombia look incredible. As someone who loves hiking and the mountains, it has everything I could ask for.
